Fundraiser for my daughter's Mission trip!!

Hey my ejummy friends...my daughter Brittany is going on a Mission trip to Galveston TX to help clean up from Hurricane Ike with her church. Since Britt was born in TX, not far from Galveston, this mission trip is very close to her heart. She needs to raise $700, and still needs to raise about $300 more dollars. I'm going to post the fundraiser letter that she has been given to pass out, and all donations are tax deductable. Every little bit helps! If anyone can help out, it would be greatly appreciated. I've raised as much as I can on her behalf, but times are tough, and I can't come up with much more, as I'm also having to coming to up with airfare to send my son to TX to visit his father. I don't want anyone to feel obligated, and I know this is last minute, but I can still turn in money after she leaves for the trip, to reimburse whatever the church has to put out in her favor. Dear Ejummy Friends,

This summer I have a wonderful opportunity to be part of something very special. I will be on an ecumenical church mission team headed to Galveston, Texas. From July 1-10, our group will be involved in the rebuilding of communities that were devastated by Hurricane Ike.

To make this happen will indeed require a “team effort.” We are now meeting every month to make plans and go over what to expect while we are in Galveston. While we don’t know the exact projects yet, we will be there as the “hands and feet of Christ,” which means that we will do whatever is asked. In the upcoming months, our teambuilding will include working on service projects in our area.

We will also be working to raise funds not only to get us to Texas, but also to help with supplies needed at the worksite. Each team member is being asked to raise $700 to cover the cost of transportation, room, board and work supplies.

To make this happen, I am hoping that you might consider sponsoring me with a donation. Any amount is extremely appreciated and gets me closer to my goal. All checks can be made out to the Church of the Good Shepherd. On the memo line, write Brittany Archer and “Mission 2009.” Donations are tax-deductible.
